What to Expect

As a church, we meet every Lord's Day to celebrate our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our services are simple and biblically saturated so that we are God-centered, not man- centered. Thoughtful contemplation of the Bible and its doctrines, sincere corporate singing, and friendly interaction with one another and our guests characterize our services. We would love to have you join us in person to see how we live this out.

Regarding attire, you may find some people dressed in jeans and others in suits. We encourage you to wear what makes you feel most comfortable. How you dress is far less important to us than your relationship with God.

Body of Service

Our service formally begins at 9:30 am. During this time, we sing songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, hear Scripture read, participate in corporate readings, have a sermon expounding a passage of Scripture, and partake of the Lord's Supper (every first Sunday of the month).

Sermons

Preaching at CCF is expositional, meaning the point of the biblical passage at hand is the point of the sermon. Sermons usually last around 45 minutes and aim to be packed with material for reflection. Our sermon series regularly alternate between books in the Old and New Testaments. The Gospel is the Bible's central message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the Gospel drives all preaching.

After the Sermon

We usually sing a song encapsulating the sermon's theme. A typical service aims to be finished by 11:00 am. Our services typically close with a brief concluding reflection, an invitation to give financially to further ministry work, and a benediction. After the service concludes, we try to meet those we don't recognize, so please feel free to tell someone you're new so that we can personally welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
